The Double Jeopardy Study explores the intersections of sexual violence and racism faced by victim-survivors from Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities in higher education.

We utilize mixed methods including 1) surveys, 2) in-depth interviews, 3) Transmedia-Photovoice storytelling, 4) installation art, and 5) community exhibition methods.

We study sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating/intimate partner violence, cyber sexual violence, discrimination, microaggression, and mental and physical health among ANHPI victim-survivors across 10 UC campuses.

Our research methods are informed by intersectional, community engaged frameworks guided by trauma-informed practices and survivor-centered principles.
